1 issue so far with the Nexus 6P

Hey guys so the Nexus 6P is just amazing and perfect so far in many ways. After 1 week with it I can say that I'm impressed.
Anyways, I want to ask if others have this camera launch issue too. If I double click the Power button twice when the phone is unlocked the camera launches but it somehow locks the phone, weird right? Needs to be fixed?

The phone remains locked when you double click the power button for camera access. Double clicking is only a short-cut to get to the camera, not unlock the phone.

Read my post again please I know what you said but try it when the phone is already unlocked. The camera would launch quickly by double clicking the power button but it locks the Nexus which is not supposed to happen.

If you are using a different launcher (Nova launcher, adx ex) they have options for camera like double tap screen for camera which I use to use on my past phone. Just a thought. The one thing that can get a little annoying some times is how sensitive the power button is. Also I wish the N6P has in the power off section a restart button instead of powering off. Just me saying.

For whatever it's worth, I just tested as you described (double-tap Power while the phone is already unlocked) on the N Preview build. The camera launched but the phone did NOT lock - pressing Back or Home took me right back to my homescreen without a lockscreen in the way.

There's always a chance that the fix will be "fixed" ;) before the final release, but for now it seems like Google has heard your cry.

I use Nova and double tap to bring up the camera will cause the phone to lock. The soft buttons only include the home and back buttons. The task button is not there.
