16 Songs Everyone Over 50 Must Own

Only Neil Young and I prefer his more outrageous stuff. Apparently they don't think any acid rock need apply, nor Star*Star, Monster and other stuff by Steppenwolf or Bob Dylan.

It was about 4 or so that I wouldn't mind having or will listen to. The rest is really not my style. They had Joni Mitchell but not Bob Dylan, and left out alot of classic rock bands and great motown sounds.

'He Stopped Loving Her Today', I have Johnny Cash's cover
'Crazy', yeah, gotta love Patsy
'In My Life', not even close to my favorite Beatles song but I have it 'cause I love the Beatles.

I'd change the radio station if most of these popped on.

Um...I've never even HEARD some of those things, and judging by the artist associated with them [in the article], I don't want to. :rolleyes:

At least they had one of the most beautiful songs the Beatles ever released, so that's good, plus Joni Mitchell, Stevie Nicks (who went to my high school, by the way!) and a few others I like. But the majority of what's on that list? NO...

Well I've never heard of the "bestselling author" who compiled this list, so I guess I won't lose much sleep about not sharing her musical taste.

(I'm also not quite in the target demographic, but close enough that I feel entitled to comment ;))

OK I am not over 50 at all......but I do love just about every(there was only 1 i never heard of) one of those songs!!!!:o

guess I'm officially old!!!!!:eek:
Thanks!!!:rolleyes::)

and PS...the author was incorrect on a few points...example landslide is not about regret and Lindsey Buckingham...it's about her Father
