1st smart phone

I'm coming from an old LG slide-up, and I'm dead set on the Samsung Intercept. I'm not real big on all kinds of apps and stuff, I just wanna be able to check on Facebook, my e-mail, and Youtube. I hear people complaining about some things, but I'm willing to accept that every phone will have its flaws.
My question is this: Is the Intercept capable of sending a mass text to your whole contacts list?

I don't have an Intercept but if it doesn't come with those listed there are apps. available for all those listed.Check out Android Market.
