2.1 Sucks...

Hey guys. I got my update 3 days ago, and now I dont feel my x10 anymore.. Its not special anymore..
Anybody knows how to go back to 1.6 ?
I got unlocked rogers phone in Canada..

My battery used to go almost 3 days, now not even 24 hrs!! It does NOT charge more than %91..
Texting is so harder now, touchscreen is sooooo sensitive...
app. menu sucks... wherever you checked last, it stays over there !!!
 
well 2.1 does not suck.

1)start downloading autokiller, launcher pro, etc
2)start reading threads on how to make the x10 better
3)check out my blog :cool: :p
4)just to let you know custom roms are coming soon
 
Jeez I feel sorry for the vendors and manufacturers. They can't please anybody... for months the Byachin and bellyachin to get 2.1 or 2.2 even, and it finally comes out and we got people now griping that it isn't what they expected and want to go back.

Sounds like Obamamania. :)

I don't know how you can revert, but I am sure there are countries that haven't had their update like Bangladesh or something. Maybe you can update with their code.

Got to say I am more than happy with the 2.1 upgrade, for me it will happily be my phone of choice for the remaining 12 months of my contract. I really don't see anything that offers more at the moment imho and I often get twitchy and want to change phones.

I find the phone very responsive, the slight lag of 1.6 has now gone, the call volume is improved, we have the choice of many more apps, due to z4root we can now root and get rid of a lot of unwanted apps including Timescape and Mediascape...and add to that it's the sexiest looking phone at present :D
 
agreed with kersey. i found a new love for this ophone and i hated the god damn thing. read some of my old posts, im on my 4th x10 and i hated it. finally got one that worked and then 2.1 made it that much better,
 
Its all personal taste...easy on the poor guy :) Some of the things he listed as nuisances are awesome for others...I for one love that the menu stays in the area you left it in...often I have to go the same thing a couple times in a row so its convenient. I could see that being annoying as hell though if you didnt.
 
there are things that take getting used to, some things are better, some arent, the dialer setup is alot nicer. the keyboard they include in the phone is light years ahead of that garbage 1.6 came with.
 
At first I thought that nothing much had changed but now I'm really liking it and the extra apps I can get too. As for battery I think it lasts longer so I don't know whats's going on with your phone
