Help 2.2 for asus a50

any ideas on how to install 2.2 on asus a50, I would like to use phone as a hotspot, rather than carry cables to connect to laptop or buy a netbook for work related jobs, or is there a app for this?

Do you have an official upgrade to Froyo from Garmin-Asus?

no 2.2 for us, 2.1 is the last firmware update as garmin-asus does not exist aynmore. you can go as far as downloading some development documents from their site , the main reason why nobody put their hands on this phone is due to the garmin propietary software.....it would be awesome to have 2.2 though

If you use Z4 Root and root your Garminfone, you can download Barnacle Wi-fi tether and use as a hotpot. also you can run easy tether to use the phone as a modem. No real need for android 2.2 other than speed factor.
