Help 2.3.4 Randomly going back, sometimes all the way back to home screen

Hey all,

I upgraded to 2.3.4 yesterday and have had considerable issues with the phone randomly going back in multiple apps. Using the facebook chat app was extremely frustrating while trying to type to people and it would randomly go back in mid message. Multiple other apps including the browser would do the same thing, and sometimes go back so much that I would end up on the Home page and out of the app alltogether. Other times It will Vibrate and the menu will pop up.

I had this happen in 2.2 as well, and was hoping 2.3 would fix it. I dont keep apps running in the background, so I dont know if its an app issue, considering it happens with darn near every app I have.

Seems very strange that it happens with every app. Not knowing what your phone is or how you did the update makes it difficult to offer help. I would recommend taking your phone to your USCC store and let the tech person do the update for you.

Facebook's app is complete garbage, but that is jmho.

I had so much trouble with it, going back to 2.1, I have stopped trying to use it.

I believe the OC was talking about the Facebook Messenger app. That one actually works quite well if you do a lot of chatting via Facebook.

As LaTuFu stated, the actual Facebook app is complete garbage. Use your phone's browser.

As for the issues, I think I'm starting to see a little bit of it on my Electrify. The thing is, it seems to happen most frequently when a page is loading. When I was loading a webpage and hit the back button, the phone took me out of the browser and back to the home page. When the page finished loading, the back button worked as it should and took me to the last page visited.

I hope this gives some idea in helping.
