Help 2.3.6 to 2.3.4 possible ?

Emfolla

Newbie
Hello, is it possible to change from android version 2.3.6 to 2.3.4?
If it is, could someone tell me how to or point me to the right position.
I wanna do so as most games i install on my samsung galaxy ace s5830i when start up the colour is in white and black, i mean i can click the buttons but the colour is all screwed. I heard it was because of my android version 2.3.6. Is this true?
Is 2.3.4 a more stable version ?
If anyone have a better version in mind please share
Someone please reply
I am very new to this
Any Help/tips would be most appreciated !
Ps: My phone is not rooted

Emfolla, welcome to Android Forums :hello:

I moved your thread to the Samsung Galaxy Ace forum so those most familiar with your device can help you out.

Thats unlikely its due to the software, coz thats a really big problem, i don't think samsung would have released it with this problem.
Still if you think downgrading will help then sure go ahead, it can be easily done through Odin.
Read this tut on how to use Odin and flash stock firmware. You need to get 2.3.4 according to your region from sammobile.com along with all the files mentioned in the tut and follow the procedure. Just follow the Odin part of the tutorial, ignore the rest.
Root,Unroot,CWM,and how to Flash Galaxy Ace S5830i - xda-developers

Also read the flash guide given on the website, it'll be a better guide in using Odin.

Thanks for the link. Also, have you heard of this problem before?
Because i have no idea on how to solve it other than the only info i have which is to downgrade it back to 2.3.4.

i think someone did mention something like this before, in another forums, but i didn't pay any attention to that cos my phone is different.
Try downgrade, see if it works, else you should take it to the service center, its a major issue in a new phone.
