Help 2.31 android impression i 10. upgrade ? working app store

not for me but a little girl the tablet that was given to her. But with no App Store.

It's a 2.31 android impression I 10 tablet
i Rooted it to get android store on it
no google play
amazon store app wont login

I got the android app store on it, but none of the apps will work, comes up with a error

Also the home button stopped working

Do i need / Where can I get a android OS upgrade that will work.?

thanks pugs...i Tried that, that is how i got android store .
but the apps would not work, tried 4 or 5 all had error

did factory reset
and network guy at work rooted it again a tried and failed also

any more ideas ?

I'm out of ideas, sorry. I searched for a custom ROM based on a newer OS but could find nothing. I guess as the firmware is quite old, some apps will just not like it.

looks like i might have to buy her one or tell her i failed

but i saw a post on anther site that claimed he had 4.1 on it but link was dead .
as follows .....

2) Connect your tablet to your computer using the provided USB cable and turn on USB storage under the Android character.

3) On your computer select” open folder to view files “ in the pop up. If you do not see a pop up with this option go to “ My Computer“ and select “ Removable disk “

4) Click and drag over the “ sdfuse folder “ from inside the zip file to the tablets storage ( NOT THE ZIP IT”S SELF )

5) Then power off the unit

6) Press and hold the Volume- and power button until you see the bar begin to fill up (green) it will shut off halfway through at that point please hold volume + and power- bar will proceed to fill up then go to a black screen.

7) Power up unit- Your tablet is now updated.
 
Yes I saw that site but didnt click on the link as the filename was not what i would expect. As you say site is down but may be temporary so try again tomorrow. I guess the other thing to do is search for that file name as it may pop up elsewhere. I havent searched as im on my tab now which i detest using for searches.​
