2.5mm female to 3.5mm adapter

Does anyone know if there is a 2.5mm female to 3.5mm headset adapter that will allow audio input? All the ones I've found say they don't have audio/mic input capability.

I'm trying to get a headset, that I like and have, which has a 2.5mm male jack to work with my smart phone which has a 3.5mm female jack.
 
As a former RadioShack Manger, They do make a product that would do exactly what your looking for, but instead of being an adapter, its a short chord/adapter...Does the job though!
 
I went to Radio Shack today and they couldn't find anything. Then I went to the Radio Shack website and found an adapter but it doesn't allow for audio input it's only for audio output.
 
Let me look up the exact product number, we definitely had one, and unfortunately alot of the employees arent sure what they are looking for...as long as the plug has 3 rings, your good...
