I have a 2 amp charger on phone was hooked to. I use to charge the m8 with I took a nap and when I woke up it was pretty damn hot. Anybody else run into issues like this? It charged from 40 to 90 percent.

Thanks

Is it the QUICK CHARGE 1.0 or 2.0,or,is it a standard 2a charger?
If you have the mfg of the charger, that may be of help here as well.

I have 2 of the quickcharge accessories including the 2A AC charger, & the 1.75A car charger and I have not noticed a lot of heat. In fact I had my phone charging in the car and even tried it with GPS on and it stayed relatively cool and charged my phone to 100% while navigating. The key question. asked above is- Was it a Qualcomm Quickcharge accessory, or just a 2A "tablet" charger.

My M9,when low on juice (15% or so) & using a Samsung Quick Charge 2.0 plug, charges to about 50%-60% in roughly half an hour, without either the phone or plug heating up.
Charging rate slows down at that point,as designed,& doesn't produce an abnormal amount of heat.

Ooops I looked at it too quickly it is a 1.0 amp. The input is .2amps. It is made by HUAWEI. I will just throw it away, I was just concerned that i wouldn’t be able to use my many 2.0 amp chargers. I have several of them from mono price. I ended up using one last night by my bed and it was fine.
