2 apps I'm looking for, but haven't found....

App #1 - a TV remote

I want to use my droid as a universal remote...... possible?



App #2 - a keyless entry to my truck. Simple lock, unlock, panic from my droid...... possible?




I simply don't know if I am searching the wrong things or if they don't exist since all I get are..

#1 - remotes for PC media
#2 - nothing

On #1, it doesn't seem possible without some kind of adapter to turn the phone into an infrared emitter.

I'd say #2 is also impossible without a radio transmitter.

#2 is possible but you have to buy an expensive receiver that goes into your car. i know they made an app like that for iphone

Yeah that's one of those little things that I've been missing since leaving WinMo behind: no IR means no universal remote.
Can't blame them for leaving this in the dust. I can't remember ever using it for what it was intended for.
