2 Things I miss from my Blackberry... Any way to do them in Android?

2 weeks ago, I finally got fed up with dropped calls and an ridiculously outdated web browser, so I bought an Evo. The web experience is 100x better, and there's 100x more apps. Call quality is much better, and the network coverage is, too. And, 4G rocks. That said, there are a few things I'm seriously missing:

The ability to select all, or select groups of messages. In my BB, I can go to say, yesterday and "mark prior opened" or "delete prior" and those groups of messages will be deleted or marked open. I use Gmail and Exchange on my Evo - any way to do that with either?

The keyboard layout. I'm still getting used to a touch screen... meh. But what would go a long way towards making me happy is if there is an Android keyboard that duplicates the BB keyboard. For example, long press makes capital letters, and all the same alt character mappings. (; is on the J key, ? is on the V key, etc.)

If there's any way to do these things... please let me know. :)
