Help 24 Hour Lockout - Going on 2 weeks!

I purchased a LG G Pad X 8.0 from T-Mobile. It originally had a sim card. We didn't use it much so I cancelled the data plan. I reset and erased all data and tried to set it up again last month with my google account. I keep getting the "24 hour lock" no matter how long I wait. It's been going on for over 2 weeks now. I even get notifications on my phone to allow the G Pad to access my account but I can't get past the 24 hour lock.

I have waited well over 36 and 72 hours and nothing helps. This is driving me crazy!

Thanks

Scott

Was it originally setup with your google account, or was it setup with a different account? It's the credentials for the original account it's looking for.

It's been over a year. We believe my wife set it up with her google account. We have tried every account we can think of and waited over 24 hours and still get password changed recently wait 24 hours message.

Is there no way around this?

The initial set up was done at the Tmobile store with the sim if that makes a difference.
