$25 buck inconvenience credit?

so when replacing my sprint note 7 i read on several websites including Samsung that we might be eligible for a $25 credit on our bill. Well just rec'd my bill and i was charged a $25 activation fee so I called my carrier. they told me i have activated a new phone, i said correct, it was the note 7 replacement and i should be charged for it. they said they would remove it, as of now they have not. but i did ask about the $25 Samsung inconvenience credit and they said all it does is wave the activation fee. am i explaining this right? that sounds kind of sorry on Sprints part. Several trips to store to get replacement and then be charged again for it?

It should have been a account credit or $25 towards an accessory but it seems like all carriers are forgetting the accessory option until you say something to them in store [emoji23][emoji23]

Interesting. I have been offered nothing here in the UK. Samsung may have given the carphone Warehouse freebies to pass on but the customer won't see any of that!

I got mine direct from Samsung UK. Replacement in hand now. Was told initially that there would be some sort of apology gesture. However this has not happened and its not been mentioned since.

Mine was pretty simple. I asked a T-Mobile rep, over the phone, if they are participating in the $25 credit towards the customer's account and they said yes. Had me on hold for about a minute, to check with the supervisor, and as soon as they were back on, they credited my account. After getting off the phone, I checked my account and sure enough, there it was.

Yup. A phone call to Verizon was necessary to get the $25. It is not meant to cover your activation fee. That is also supposed to be waived as is the restocking fee of $35. And if you bought any accessories from Verizon for your phone that you couldn't use they have to refund those too. I bought black screen protector but my new phone is blue so I got that refunded.
Sounds like maybe a phone call is in order from you to Verizon? Remember to stay calm. They weren't the meanies who tried to charge you extra.

since i purchased mine from Best Buy should i expect it from them or Sprint?

Based on what's stated on Samsung's website, these are the specified terms:
http://www.samsung.com/us/note7recall/?cid=ppc-

Customers who exchange a Note7 device will also receive a $25 gift card, in-store credit, in-store accessory credit or bill credit from select carrier retail outlets.

Key words there being, "select carrier retail outlet". So, to me, that reads as something that's not a given. I don't think it would hurt to ask either Best Buy or Sprint or both (depending on which order you decide to ask). Worst case scenario, they just say no.

I had a horrible time returning my phone to sprint. They even tried selling me a recalled model at one point. Over the course of two weeks i spent atleast 10 hours making numerous calls to customer service and had several visits to the store front. I ended up with full refund, waive of activition on recalled and replacment device and a 25$ credit. Still doesnt seem luke enough for the hassle i went through.
