2nd Hand Phone wont scroll

Hi,

After being ripped off by a second hand dealer, I am in possession of a fairly new ZTE racer. The problem is that it won't scroll smoothly without opening an app of where my thumb is sliding down the screen.

Maybe I need to reboot the phone? But then I don't know how to even do that?

PLEASE HELP, SINCE I CANT USE IT UNTIL I CAN GET AROUND ON MY PHONE?! :eek:
 
A ROM is the version of the phone’s operating system that comes with your phone when you buy it.
A custom ROM is a fully standalone version of the OS, including the kernel (which makes everything run), apps, services, etc – everything you need to operate the device, except it’s customized by someone in some way.
So what does the "customized" part mean? Since Android is open source, developers are free to take stock ROMs, modify them, strip them of garbage, optimize them, add things, and pretty much do whatever their imagination and skills allow.

Hi Suz and rfk. I also have a brand new Racer and find that it is next to impossible to scroll the home screens. Your custom ROM solution seems unnecessarily radical for a new phone. Any other thoughts? Did you manage to find a solution yourself rfk. Ta. Jon
