Lurker
Hi
I rooted my galaxy ace with universal root , partion my with clockwork mod
The problem is my 2nd partion of sd card keep vanshing every once and while ,i have to reboot my phone to get it back and some time even reboot cant get back the app on 2nd partion back
Any idea how to fix this ???:banghead:

I had this happen and then used the free EaseUS partition program

Best partition manager software - EaseUS Partition Master Family.

I've used for years and that worked.I tried Mini Partition Tool but that too didn't work for me.

Partition SD card on PC but let the program update it's operation. Then right click on the SD card in Explorer and soft eject and then remove the card.If you don't have an SD card reader for the PC there are cheap USB SD adapters on eBay.
Once inserted in the phone switch off and reboot just to be safe.

HTH :)

Hi Pauls
My experience with minitools is very good, and I must say that partition with CWM doesnt usually fails.
I would try to format the SD card with windows and then run minitools or that program you says. Could be a sd card problem.
Could be important to know what is used to manage partition and what rom are we talking about

I hear what you are saying.Minitool worked for a while for me but then Link2SD stopped reading the partitions correctly giving the,"Script" errors. That's when I used my old EaseUS partition manager and the procedure I posted and it's been OK since.
As everyone has different setups it was just a suggestion to try different things to find something that works :)
I only used CWM once for partitioning and it seemed ok but being on the phone I found it a bit fiddly and prefer to use my laptop as me eyes ain't as good as they used to be :smokingsomb:

CWM has never given me any problems in partitioning before, but i don't use it because it cannot make ext4 partitions, for that i use minitool, i found it to be a very good program, its easy to use and gives no problems. But apart from that i think cwm is a much better choice, eliminates the requirement of a pc, you can setup link2sd on the go.
Perhaps if the OP would explain his purpose for creating a second partition and the software setup he is running on the phone we might be able to help better.

Could be the modifications you did while rooted that are causing problems after unrooting the phone.

Why did you unroot the phone?

Root in itself does not cause any problems. The modifications you do after rooting can, if not done properly. And unrooting is not a solution, you have to undo all changes you made.

Have you considered that your sd card might have been damaged in all the formatting, creating and deleting partitions?

If you create a partition and use it, and erase it, your SO gets unstable. Better flash firmware again and dont mess with your SD card. Leave it be. You might need root to use partition to manage internal storage.

i don't did any modification just root it ,partition the sd card with cmk and i did undo everything still reboot by it self and losing my wifi connecting and some time get sd is removed or damage

i did think of that since i create and delete the partition more than one time :p
