3.5-mm stereo adaptor for smartphone?

I tried connecting my HTC Velocity to an aux input on my car stereo, but the connection keeps breaking (noisily!). The Velocity has a 4-conductor earphones socket, so I need an adapter/cable to connect this to a normal 3-conductor, 3.5-mm stereo input.

Does anybody know a solution? (Replicating the phone/microphone switch that is found on the supplied earphones would be a bonus.)

IT's been a long time since I used cable to connet to my phone but I think this is what you want. Amazon.com: EZ Hands Free Aux Stereo Auxiliary Cable Cord w/ Micophone 3.5mm HF Adaptor Device with 3.5mm Head set jack- Black: Cell Phones & Accessories cheap too.
