$30 All You Need -- Can I use this with an S4?

After a long time in Android purgatory due to not wanting to give a monthly pint of blood plus my first born to Verizon, I now have a lovely unlocked Galaxy S4. It's a GSM only phone. I'm leaning toward Straight Talk and I really don't want to pay more than $30 a month for the All You Need plan as I keep my data off 90% of the time.

However, the guy at Walmart told me that ST won't allow the $30 plan to be used with smart phones like the S4. Now I think that doesn't sound quite right so I thought I would ask you all if that's true. If you have a smart phone is the only option with ST the $45 plan?

TIA!

Why not go to Cricket? $35 on auto pay with 1 gig high speed data, unlimited throttled data, and unlimited talk and text. Best deal there is right now.

Or the T-Mobile $30 plan - oh that's high in data, low in talk. Sorry.

There was a big sign at Walmart saying Cricket doesn't serve my area...but I'll check, thanks! I really only need 100mb of data a month though. Ridiculous but true.

Well the coverage map says I'm covered where I am. If it's ATT it should work. I'd still like to know about ST, though.

It's definitely AT&T. Straight Talk, there's a lot of complaints about them. I think that $25 plan is supposed to be for dumb phones, don't know if an S4 would work with that.
