32 or 64gb

I know without a shadow of a doubt i want the 6p in graphite !
What I am on the fence is the storage size...
I currently own the Nexus 6 and love it by the way but out of the 32gb I have only used 18 gb in 10 months. 7 GB google music I have download to phone to save on data an 14 GB including the music for apps total.Pictures, documents all in the cloud..also plan to buy a Chromebook and have a sd card for it . I plan to use the 6p as my daily driver until at least November/December 2017 then keep it as a backup when I get Nexus 2017. So should I spend the extra $50 get the 64 or save it for something else? I don't see using 64 GB let alone over 32gb.

The guideline I use is determine how much storage I need and then get double the amount. Based on this, I recommend you get the 64 GB version. The reason is that it is good to not have to worry about possibly running out of storage. You never know that in a year's time your storage usage may increase.

Ive got the 32gb (25 GB is available to the user) and used about 13GB's. Most of that is root related backups.

My pictures (google photos) and podcasts are in the cloud.

If cloud storage is something you (and your data plan) can utilize, I'd recommend saving some cash with the 32gb. Otherwise, more is better :)

I'm often in areas where I can't get a data connection, so I do not use the cloud at all. 64gb is the minimum I'd personally consider. Let's me get by with a much cheaper data plan, as well.

JM2C:

$50 extra is more than well worth the price of admission for the peace of mind over the two years you plan on keeping the device.
Also,no more should I/shouldn't I constantly nagging at you, perhaps just another way of restating the above.

Pull the trigger, enjoy the phone & be at peace with your decision/device/storage for 2 yrs.

Better yet,go for it & get the highest option,128GB,lest you be 2nd guessing the 64 GB decision, looking at the greener grass of the 128GB option.......................

thanks everyone for the inut going with 64gb but unforunatly have to wait till febuary i spent way too much $$$ over xmas but yes $50 for addtional memory storage seems logical thanks again

I like to have my bases covered and pics and video and music at the ready. Even though Sprint is getting better (a lot better) with their coverage (in Sacramento CA) and I have Unlimited plan, I went an got the (MKBHD Baller status) 128GB Aluminum.

Buy as much as you can afford.
Skip the 32. Your question should be 64 or 128.
If you get the 32 and are constrained on space you are stuck.
With a phone that has fixed storage, you buy the one with the greatest amount of storage your pocket can handle.

I have the 128.

I had a 64GB card in my Note 3 and that worked well. I never felt constrained, so, I went for 64GB in the 6P.
