32GB SD card questions and general information

I've been thinking about getting a 32GB SD card lately, but I had a couple of questions.

In terms of speed, you have 2,4,6,8 with 8 being the fastest, correct? What's the fastest 32GB card you can get? All I have seen are the "2's" from SanDisk, are there faster ones?

Another sd card topic? Lol

They go up to class 10

SD cards above 2gb are actually sdhc cards (kind if like 2nd generation)

Most major manufactures of SD cards will make class 2, 4 or 6, and 10.

Try looking for kingston, crucial, samsung as well as sandisk. Imo you get what you pay for.

The card you use in your phone will be good enough at class 2, but you may benifit from a faster class if your going to copy files from a pc often.

32GB fast SD cards are usually non-existent or very expensive. I also see mostly Class 2 around. For that reason I went for 16GB Class 6 card.

Another sd card topic? Lol...

I looked around for others but couldn't find any...specific to this question, maybe I wasn't looking in the right place though.

I'm not too worried about the price, because I'm pretty sure it will last a long time...I still have the 8gb card I got with the Instinct 3 years ago.

I was looking at other size cards as well, but it I couldn't seem to find any that were above class 4 (and SanDisk only seems to have class 2). I'll check out Kingston first, since I'm familiar with them.

EDIT: I looked up Crucial, but either myself or them were having problems with their site. Just Googling them only brought up 2/4gb cards. I looked up Samsung but it appears they sell SanDisk cards on their site, I couldn't find anything made by them.

Kingston has a SDC10 32gb for $150: http://www.kingston.com/flash/sdhc_micro.asp

That seems cheap to me, but that's because back in my Palm Pilot days I payed like $250 or something for the largest card at that time: 1gb (note that there was no microSD at that time)! Thanks for the help. :)
