360 worth it?

So, I am not really a gamer, I do tend to play sim games when I do play, namely The Sims and Sim City.

I have been wanting to get my simulated fix on again and not sure if my 15" MBP (2.2 quad core i7 with HD graphics 3000 and AMD Radeon HD 6750M graphics). I have been unable to confirm if these games will run on my mac with out issue, or even if I want to try it.

So, I thought an xbox 360 may do the trick for dedicated sim gaming instead of building a powerful PC to just play a couple games.

Thoughts?

Can I even get sim city and the sims 3 for the 360? I mean it surely would be a bit cheaper and quicker to by the console for gaming then trying to build a rig to do the same.

And, I am really not a fan of windows...(at least the OS)

Neither The Sims 3, or SimCity is on consoles. Simulation don't work well on consoles, anyway. Looking on Amazon, it appears both of those games will run on OSX, and should easily run on your hardware. Just make sure have the HD space. You'll probably have to download the Origin client as well.

I think your MBP can handle the sims. I mean a i7 with 6870M graphics, with the onboard Graphics of the intel hd 3000. You should be able to play the sims, its not that intense.
The sims on Consoles is kind of bad too, and is never supported by EA (Which is one reason I hate the company and will never buy a game from them).

The Sims 3 is on the console, but you will have more fun on the Mac. Sim city is not on consoles.
