3G Network - which one fit my phone

Hey Guys,
I have a new BLU Studio 5.3 S and I can't surf at all unless it is a wifi connection.

BLU Sudio 5.3 S network support is:
HSDPA 850 / 1900 - D590a
HSDPA 850 / 2100 - D590i

The network company i'm at runs at:
UMTS
2100, 900

I don't really know if it is supported or not.

Another network company here runs at:
2100, 850

Need help to make 3G work on my device.

Thx

If the phone is not locket to your current carrier, and it's GSM phone, try a SIM card from the carrier that offers the 3G frequencies that the phone supports.

Do you know whether you have a D590a or a D590i? If it doesn't work I'm guessing an "a", since both of your local networks support 2100 (so I'd expect the "i" model to work with either).

Since both of those model support 850, if one of your local networks supports 850 I'd expect it to work with that one (at least when within its 850 coverage).

HSDPA is just a variant of UMTS, so you should be OK for the acronyms. Just need to match frequency bands.

2100/900 (your network) is the commonest setup globally. 1900/850 is North American. So it sounds like you've bought a phone that's not actually intended for your location.

The company that runs on 850 / 2100 - D590i shouldn't work?

The one with 2100/850 should work with the 590i, but if you have the 590a it will only work on 850.

I'm guessing you have a 590a because the 590i should work on either network, using the 2100 band. So if your phone doesn't get 3G that suggests it's the 590a.

One silly thing to check before you go changing network though: your APN settings are set correctly for the network? If not you'll get no mobile data even if you can connect to the network. Normally this would be the first thing I'd think of, but the discussion of frequency bands distracted me.

Already took care for the APN settings.
Its not it...

I hope it'll at least run at some speed ..

Thx buddy

Do you not at least get 2G data?

No, I get a connection error.

I configured it as the APN advised, which is I belive only for 3G, if it supposed to support 2G then I have no idea what's going on..

Maybe the phone is not suitable?

We had APN settings before we had 3G, so I've always figured they were for both.

I cannot think of any reason it shouldn't work. I mean sure, it needs the right 3G frequency bands, but it's quad-band GSM, so for 2G there shouldn't be a problem.

I was mistaken, It did had 2G,I guess, I twas super slow.

Now I received my new sim and guess what, I don't even have 2G at all!
How is it possible if the frequencies are the same?!
I do have the 3G icon on the top but no Internet...

I configured the sim..

Any guess?

EDIT:
The problem was the roaming option, it should have been on!
Now I have 3G!!

Thank you very much for your help, I appreciate it.
If you need anything don't hesitate PMing me.
