Reception here seems to have improved. Verizon 3g show available at my home area which is new. Since then my wireless home connection seems disrupted. Wireless turns on and obtains address and all, but the browser and gmail do not work until I shut off wireless. I can only get data via 3g, is this a marketing trick? Did 3g capabilities changed some default setting I am unaware of? Nothing else new except that I now see 3g in notifications when wireless is off. Anyone know what can be causing this?

Weather, power fluctuations, seasons(?) and bacon all affect your signal strength. There also may be a new tower or a nearby is upgraded.
As for your home network, if there are many people using the same service, yours might get slow. Out maybe someone is stealing your wifi
