So I haven't used the default browser on my DNA for about a year now. I was using Boat but switched to Dolphin about 5 months ago. On sites like reddit, when I would long press on a thumbnail and tell it to open in a new tab, it would open the linked image or website in the new tab. Ever since I updated to KitKat this no longer works. If I long press a thumbnail and open in new tab, it instead just opens that thumbnail in a new tab. I've sort of worked around this as Dolphin has a setting that allows any link that is clicked to be opened automatically in a new tab. However some sites disable this and load the image in the current tab.
Now here's the thing. I enabled the included browser with the phone and it doesn't have this issue. Long pressing a thumbnail and opening in new tab opens the link like it used to. So is this some incompatibility with 3rd party browsers and KitKat? Or something that developers seem to have overlooked since that update?
Is there a fix?
