Despite predicitive text in the 3x4 version of the Samsung Keyboard working perfectly in some areas (like messaging, email, Facebook, Google Translate, S Planner, respectable 3rd party apps)...
... It does not work in other areas like the phone's OWN SEARCH FUNCTION, CONTACTS AND SAMSUNG INTERNET APP, the Chrome browser, OneDrive, the Google Play app store, other respectable 3rd party apps.
This was never a problem in my last phone (the S5). And I'm now using a brand new S7.
I talked to the Samsung chat helpdesk, who suggested trying the Google Keyboard instead, but that does not have a 3x4 option. So I contacted the chat helpdesk again, who were unhelpful, and tried to blame it on Google (until I pointed out that it's never been an issue before, and that it doesn't work even in some of Samsung's own apps and functions).
I've been searching the net for ideas about this problem, and it seems there are lots of people with the same issue. So, it's not just me going mad.
3x4 is necessary to me because my fingers are too big for the qwerty keyboard, and 3x4 with predictive is a much faster way to type anyway.
Attached are pictures of 3x4 not working in the Chrome app, not working in Samsung Contacts, but working in Samsung Messages.
Anyone have any ideas, news?
