4.3: Wallpaper From Directory On SD Card?

Seems like my only tools for assigning lock-screen wallpaper are Settings | Device | Personalization | Wallpaper | Lock Screen | Gallery and ...Wallpapers

But Gallery does not seem to recognize the directory of photos that I copy/pasted into Main Storage | Download.

OTOH, if I browse a web page, select an image, and download it into that very same directory, Gallery recognizes it.

Can anybody elucidate?

Alternative tools?

Filetypes that Gallery doesn't recognize? The phone isn't doing a media scan when you paste files from the computer (it normally won't)? Try a media rescan app after you paste in new images.

It was the media scan thing.

Instead of bouncing the system, I installed Rescan Media by
Aditya Talpade. Opened it, went back to Gallery, and all the pix were there.

Thanks!
