That's correct. Unfortunately, Text To Speech requires Android 1.6 and above. Do you thik there would be interest in a version that does not speak aloud but supports 1.5?

What would it entail to have it voice to text?
You run your text to speech, do your message and then it's shown on screen as the text you about to send.
