I just got Verizon and my calls always seem to be very unclear. People on the other end say I sound like I'm in a tunnel, have put them on speaker and walked away or am staticky. Verizon ran the line and says it's fine. So, I checked my signal type and strength. It shows 1x=-73dBm and 4Gl= -92 to -109 (varies). This means that I'm far from a tower, right? And I should probably switch providers? Or maybe it's just my phone (brand new as of a week ago, Motorolo Droid Razor M)? Any ideas? I only have 6 days of my 14 day trial period left. Thanks!

You could try dialing *22891 to update you roaming/ tower associations.

Check for updates in settings to see if a software update for your phone exists is another possibility.

I beliexe 1x is your voice and 4G is data, so you voice coverage is fantastic. The "higher" the number, the better. Since the numbers are negative -70db is better than -80db etc. This leads me to believe it is the fault of your phone, and if an update doesn't exist or fix it, returning it or exchanging it might be your best move.
