Help 4G icon randomly showing up.

I've had this for a while and I remember it starting after the gingerbread update. Basically whenever I turn on the wifi the 4G icon will pop up, some times it'll pop up randomly when the phone is idle. It doesn't seem to be actually on though but it's annoying seeing it there. Anyone else having this issue?
