4G is live in Hampton Roads, VA

Not sure if this forum is where this thread belongs, but even though Sprint's not advertising it, if you look at Clear's coverage map, there is WiMax coverage in parts of Norfolk, Hampton, Newport News, and Gloucester.

I connected to the 4G coverage in the Hampton/Newport News area and recorded 5.6mbps download speed... average Sprint 3G download speeds in this area are 700kbps, for comparison.

I'll post a screenshot later when I'm at home.

Yep, we've got it in a small section of VB. I'm getting 6-7 down/900 kbps up avg

I just checked and it looks like Hampton Roads is the largest metro area on the Eastern seaboard with no Sprint/Clear 4G coverage (except for the very limited "testing" network whose coverage area hasn't seemed to grow since the spring). Shame on Sprint.

I've been told that there are "Navy Issues" with getting 4G in HR.
