Help 4G not working?

Mines isn't working right now... the 1x and wifi work fine... anyone else havin this issue?

was having the same problem this morning. 4G icon showed with up and down arrows but nothing that used data would work.

I left 4G on and now the battery is dead so I cant say if the 4g is still down. I'll grab my spare battery from my car when I go to lunch.
 
call metro or goto a corporate store, they have another data line they can put you oln, i did mine today and have had 4g all day :) and when 4g was spotty, it actually went to 1x where as b4 i wouldnt have internet at all.. i was also told that some phones work better on different lines.. i didnt get to see what he was doin but he had my phone hooked up usb to pc running software, i was waited for him to ask where my mymetro and ironman2 movie, and other metro stuff was lol then i was tempted to ask him for the wep2k pw lol but i didnt push it..
 
Mine is doing the same thing in Detroit. Only way to get 4g back is reboot. GOnna stop by Corp Store and ask on way home from work.

i think he was refering to losing 4g like after 15 mins of turning on the phone, which is what mine did.. after i took it to the corporate store, it was fixed. i was wondering why everyone was complaining bout the battery life, lol, now i know..... but it's worth it.. also turning off the 4g via anycut, i have noticed when i travel for bout 20 mins. that the 4g does comes back on, but if i stay in the same general area, i'm guessing the same tower, the 4g stays off..

It's true. I couldn't pull a 4G connection at all while I was at my friend's apartment on the beach. Also went to a restaurant the other night where I always used to lose reception on my older Metro phones, and had the same problem with the Indulge. Couldn't pick up an LTE signal in there at all.

Other than that though...no...haven't noticed any 4G outages. But then again...down here in Metro's largest market, it's not that surprising that our connections are solid.
 
I shot two vids but since the camera on our phones can't zoom..you couldn't even tell who's who. But I was just mentioned before that the 4G signal fizzled in and out in there which was very disappointing. My last post came out screwed up cause I was texting and driving when I posted it heh
 
Hey I have had my phone for two days now and my 4g isnt working only stays on 1X does anyone have any idea why? I am in miami also using the samsung galaxy r910. I am really new to this so all sugestions accepted. thank you.

Same problem in Sacramento, California. I got the phone yesterday and only have 1x. I am going to take it back today and have them figure out wtf is going on.....and yes, I am in a 4G area.

I will post on my findings.
 
did you perform the PRL update by dialing *228

they also may not have set the phone up correctly or setup the phone plan correctly. call metro on the phone and have them check that your phone plan is set up properly.

I did....and it didn't help.

So, I went into the local store last night (not a corporate store) and the guy looked at it and made sure it was on LTE for the network, which is wasn't. It worked in 4G fine after that..........for about 15 minutes. then it went back to 1X.

Today I called the tech support number and she did an update. I rebooted the phone and now 4G works most of the time. I am still getting network connection errors here and there though.

So, it aint fixed yet, but it is getting better.

She gave me some lame ass excuse that it takes the phone a couple of days to "work correctly" on the network. lol

So, my next step is to go to the corporrate store and let them look at it. If it doesn't work properly, I am getting my money back as i am still within my first week and I only have 5 minutes of calls so far (1 hour max for full refund).

I will post my findings............

edit: F*CK THIS. I am taking the phone back and returning it for a full refund and canceling my service. I travel a lot and cannot afford to have a phone that drains the battery in a couple of hours JUST SITTING. A new phone should work correctly out of the box and the service I am paying for (4G) should also work as I am well within the published area for it. It was worth a shot...thank God for the 7 day "Metro Promise". lol
