4g .

I'd been driving all around the OC all weekend with my 4G on, and didn't see a peep. I figure the first city to get it will likely be Irvine, then maybe either HB or NPB, but I suspect that won't be 'till Jan 1st.

Already mentioned this in another post, but there are 2 Wimax towers down the street from me in Anaheim by Disneyland and the convention center that will support a 4G signal soon. Dont know when though, soon I hope. Anaheim would likely get it before Irvine or HB I think. Why? Because its a HUGE tourist area and there are tons of hotels and business people here every week for conventions.

Can someone check to see if there are towers that will cover Laguna from some online site or something?

I doubt Laguna will get 4G, at least anytime soon. If it does it will probably be spotty residual coverage from a larger inland city. I doubt the city of LB wants any new cell towers that would accommodate 4G. I get great signal all up and down PCH, but not holding my breath for 4G.

I have a clearwire antenna .13 miles from my house in Laguna! Hope this means I'll get 4G coverage when L.A. area is lit up

I'm in newport beach and I check for 4G signals often...nothing so far. On Saturday I went to LA and on the way back home on the 110, I decided to check 4G and to my surprise there was a 4G signal! This was around Downtown on the 110, unfortunately it didn't last long enough for to me check out the strength, but it seems like LA will be getting 4G soon...hopefully OC too.

nothing in Anaheim for now either... *sigh* I hate disneyland lol I am going to Vegas August 3 tho... definitely gonna try it there :D

I live in seal beach. Antennasearch.com shows 2 clearwire towers within a mile and half. It looks like they have a whole bunch of them in Orange county and long beach. Hopefully they are testing and will has things up soon.

Irvine is just as likely, I think. Why? Because the western regional headquarters for Sprint is located there.
