They are two different ways to connect a device with the Internet.
Wi-Fi is wireless internet, confined to a small location. It may (should) be secured with login credentials by the owner. It is usually provided by the local internet service provider: the speed (or bandwidth) of the wifi depends on the bandwidth of the internet connection and the number of devices connected to it.
4G is cellular data through your cell phone carrier. It is the 4th generation of cellular data network, and is a huge improvement over its 3G predecessor. 5G is under test deployment, with wide-scale rollout expected by 2020.
