5 patches around edges of my white Note 4?!?

I'm very puzzled by this. Got my Verizon Note 4 in white on Thursday. Took all the plastic wrapping, thought the edges of the phone should be exposed chrome and figured it's a white tape strip around it or something like that. Obviously, that looks like a permanent coating, can't take it off. But after a closer examination, I also see 5 tiny patches around the edges covering something, maybe some pinhole ports? Those little patches are under that white finish "strip" around the edges of the phone. What's up with that?

I had to stare real hard to see those patches, it took a while but eventually i did spot them (after adjusting the angle and light), the "patches" on my Note 4 is no where near as pronounced or visible as the pics above.
 
That's "special" Verizon-edition patches :D Actually, I'm grateful that Verizon didn't put their ugly logo on the home button like they branded Note 2.

Can't wait to start using this beast, just need my cases to arrive asap!!!

What case have you ordered ?? ive just ordered a Spigen Slim Armor Tough Case.

i wouldn't have minded the standard tough case but there is close to a 1 month wait till they were in.

Got Seidio SURFACE and UAG black Scout and clear Maverick coming for review; other Seidio models and UAG colors will get once available. The same with Trident and Case-Mate, once available.
 
In those pictures, it looks as if the patches actually protrude a little bit. Is that the case? I have the black one and it's so hard to see them and they don't protrude at all. You need to really look hard and you'll see the shape of it underneath. Anyway, yes - it would be forgotten in a case.
 
Those patches shouldn't be there.....I looked at a few white Note 4's yesterday while testing my speaker and none had those. Of course there is the white line on all four corners and these lines are separating the various antennas from interfering with each other, all metal cased phones have this including the iPhones.
 
I guess one of the advantages of getting older and needing glasses just to read is that I can no longer see small things like that. :)
 
I have a Verizon black note 4 and yes it has those little patches ...at first I thought it was a defect.
But after a closer examination it looks like some sort of design.
 
So I just went from the note 3 to 4. Got it from sprint in the mail today,opened it and noticed 4 white marks on the top of the bezel and bottom..they are in a perfect line on the top and bottom. Before I call sprint to exchange is that a norm. Thanks
