$50 go phone unlimited plan on an android? dose workaround exsist to include its data?

ATT go phone charges $50 a month for unlimited everything (or so they say who actually knows). Unless you have a "smart phone" then this dose not include data. Is there any way to work around this and get the data your actually playing for on an android? I dont expect 3g speeds, just something

I don't know anyone with a smartphone go phone that was able to get all inclusive for the $50/month. One tried to start with a dumb phone then switch the sim to a smartphone but later that night got a text from att about needing the appropriate data plan or some junk like that.

some way to maybe change the phone ID to some shitty old phones, so thats what gets reported to att?
