Help 64gb microsd?

Hello! Wondering if this worked with a 64gb microsd. I know the specs say max 32, but often those don't list 64 gig cards. Anyone tried? If so may be a decent gym phone. Cheers!

The best you're likely to get is 32GB. The most likely you're liable to get is "no card installed" or "defective card", or messages to that effect. It's not like desktop RAM, where there's an address line flapping in the breeze if the RAM is more than the motherboard can support. There's a little computer in those cards, and a 64GB card is telling a phone that can only use 32GB on a card things it doesn't understand.

It is possible to run 64 and 128 GB MicroSD cards on most Android devices. Simply reformat the card with the FAT32 file system, and make sure it's a primary partition. Make sure the option for Large Block Access (LBA) is checked, to ensure that large files (up to 4 GB) can be accessed correctly from the card. The best tools for reformatting are Minitool Partition Wizard for Windows, and gparted for Linux.
