8.1.0 Update USB Won't connect

Installed new update last night to 8.1.0, prior to install was able to connect usb and transfer files and the usb connection options would show on the pull down menu. After update USB only charges, menu doesn't show USB options, and weirdly the ability to take screenshots while holding 3 fingers on the screen doesn't work anymore.

Thread about it at XDA I've been keeping up with. Has something to do with the lock screen.

i have this problem on a brand new phone. i read the thread on XDA and nothing fixed it. I have all the system updates. does anyone know how to fix this?
