8 steps to getting over the Spec 4.0 update

Man I spent so much time talking/asking about when my Spec would get the ICS update and I finally got over it by following these 8 steps...

1. Purchase the Spec based on its potential and a promise for a 4.0 update.
2. 4.0 update hits other devices but not my Spec.
3. Get zero answers from VZW and LG in regards to the 4.0 update.
4. Learn from my mistake.
5. Purchase a new device (based on the system build at the time of purchase).
6. Keep the Spec and continue to learn from it.
7. Never again purchase a LG device and tell "EVERYONE" who can benefit from my mistake about my experience with LG.
8. PROBLEM SOLVED.

Despite the spectrum's superior screen display, I'm thinking of getting the gs3 since it's soon getting the jelly bean anyway.

So, I'm considering doing this also, but I would need to sell my spec in order to afford a new phone. Anyone know what a rooted spectrum is selling for lately?

Read the Verizon Forums before you go thinking that everything will be blue skys with another phone.

This wait we are experiencing is not unique to LG! And the Spectrum, from what I can tell has been a much less problem phone than many others.

Of course, YMMV.

p.s. I'd make sure you fully and prominently disclose the fact your Spec is rooted and running an OS other than Stock, as it may negatively affect someone elses experience. Of course, this may be a positive for some owners.

I did the same damn thing, had to fork over the dough for a used Galaxy Nexus. I will never get another android device that isnt Nexus branded, its so worth it!

Thanks kind folks for bringing these important points up
1- GNex looks good from a distance has low signal problem.
2- Razr's have smaller screens.
Not much else there to talk about oh wait the SG3 (from what I read also has signal problems).
So realistically - 2.3.6 is not too bad on a 4.5 inch dual core phone :)

Every phone has a pro and con. The Spec's UI is atrocious, I have no signal problems with my GNex and I'm loving all the Jelly Bean ROM's that fly on its hardware.

If you load Holo Launcher or ADW Launcher EX as examples, the phone's OEM UI is not even seen.
