I am thinking of installing an Android device with 9"+ screen in my car as GPS and video/audio server. New to Android so lots of questions:
GPS
In the old days, Satellite GPS needed a receiver on the roof as sat connect was restricted by line of sight. How about the new Android device, do they use purely cellphone triangulation or hybrid of both cell+sat? In case, they come with sat, how about the line of sight thing. Would it need a roof mount receive too?
Which android device has the best Satellite GPS hardware? Which applications has the best Sat+cell intregation?
Video/Audio server.
Any Androids can drive secondary monitors? I heard that iPad can't multi-task, ie run audio/video while doing GPS.
Docker/craddle
Being 9"+, I think a docker.craddle would be nice for placement in the car. Any suggestions?
