Root 98.72.16 Verizon OTA Fails on Razr Maxx

LannyD

The 98.72.16 OTA update from Verizon fails on my Razr Maxx. I think it may be because I previously rooted the phone and before discovering I should "freeze" using Titanium.

I've tried to use Voodoo OTA to unroot the phone and it seems to work but the OTA update to Jellybean still fails.

I understand there are no guarantees but I'm just looking for a safe way to get the ..16 update. I'm willing to go to "stock" and start over with updates and apps if that's the safest.

I have Titanium and SuperUser. I rooted my phone using Dan Rosenberg's Exploit and it's been working well.

I've gone through a lot info on the forum but I've reached a point I'm looking for some help/suggestions from those of you with a lot more knowledge.

Thanks

In my first paragraph.. I meat to say I uninstalled apps before learning I should "freeze" them in Titanium.

that's your problem. the only thing you can do is go install stock and then download the OTA afterwards.

use DROID RAZR Utility 1.90 -- Windows + Mac + Linux (All In One!) - Droid Razr Development [XT912] - DroidRzr.com

it's got the christmas leak (.08) included, it will install that. then you can root and install the .16 OTA. back up all your stuff beforehand, and you can easily xfer it all back after updating.
