A couple of basic Email questions

Sorry if this is a repost. I've searched and googled and haven't found answers to my questions. I have an eris and I am using the included email app (not gmail and not K9):

1. Is there a way to empty your trash without manually selecting each item and then deleting?

2. Is there a way to select a block of messages instead of selecting each message individually?

Did you ever get an answer to this? It's a big omission to the app.

Hi,

1. Whilst viewing message list in the 'trash' folder, press 'menu', tap 'delete', press 'menu', tap 'mark all', tap 'delete'.

2. Don't think you can.
