A good ebook/pdf library app?

does there exist an app that handles ebook and pdf formats, that will display all of these formats in a library or "shelf" display, and _doesn't_ require you to put your books/documents into its own required path on the storage device?

I store all my pdfs and documents in my own personal directory structure on my phones sd storage, and I want an app that will *just find* those files and shortcut to them. it seems strange to me that developers of this software don't make their apps do this from the outset.

also, is there any software for android yet that lets you annotate and/or highlight text in pdf files? like good reader on iphone?

If you're into eBooks I'd check out Aldiko for Android and Calibre for desktop management and conversions.

With the new Aldiko 2.0, I read .epub books and .pdf documents directly from my own folders on the SD card (there is an "Import to Aldiko" option, but I don't need it).

But only the .epub appears on the Aldiko shelf
(because my .pdf are documents and not books?).
