Apps A little game I made

Hi Emini,

Great app! I really like it.

I've tried your app on 3 different devices: G1, HTC Tattoo & Nexus One.
It works great! I've only made it past the first 6-7 levels so far, but I'll be going back for more.

The only things I'd mention are to do with the orientation switch.

In portrait mode I can see the 8 blocks above the Info & Exit buttons.
But if I switch to landscape mode I can see the 8 blocks but not the Info & Text buttons.

While playing the game, I'll sometimes tilt the phone to move the blocks, and inadvertently change to landscape mode, which takes me back to the first level.
That doesn't always happen, but it's happened a few times.
Some of the levels don't fit the screen in landscape mode.

Oh, and you might want to stop the screen from blanking out during the game.

So really, there's only two minor problem that I can see.
Keep the app in portrait mode, and keep the screen on during the game.

I'm going back to the game now.
I've reached the level with the green box containing 3 red spheres and 3 red blocks. I've got rid of the spheres, but the blocks are quite tricky. :-)

Thanks a lot for your feedback.

I was not aware of the landscape switching issue, because it doesn't happen on the Emulator even with the sensor simulator going on.

Maybe the level you mentioned is harder than necessary, because you do not see the whole screen when tilting the screen. I am aware that it is hard, but I figured that it should be simpler on a real device than using the sensor simulator. Would you make it simpler to avoid frustration? I could easily make the "outlets" larger.

regards, Alex

btw: The level is simpler when you try to keep at least one sphere in it to turn the large boxes.

I have fixed the orientation and keep the backlight on for the game view (not the menu).
The file for the link in the first post is now updated.

I gave the latest version a try on my Nexus One, and the two issues I mention are fixed, as you said.

I wouldn't make level 7 any easier. It's got just the right level of frustration.

I've done it fairly quickly a couple of times. But other times it's taken over 10 attempts. I'm stuck on the final level now. I've come really close a few times. I will beat it eventually!
