I know this has been discussed on other threads, mainly the Hero, but I thought I'd mention it on the Droid's page. I just downloaded and installed Wave Secure and if you have not seen it yet, I'd definetly check it out. It allows you to track your phone, back up contacts, sms, media etc and remotely lock and wipe your phone if it is stolen.

The Droid is not listed under the supported phones, but I've been playing around with it and it works great on my Droid. I've tracked, locked and remotely backed up my call log and everything worked with no issue.

If you download the beta they are advertising free lifetime membership.

The only thing this is lacking, and Mobile Defense has (but MD isn't cdma) is a custom apk for rooted phones so that it can turn on gps remotely to track the phone.
 
Might want to check into it further , 20 cent international text messages applies when messages are sent to locate the phone. I use Lookout Mobile Security its by far nicer and free as well!

Thanks for the heads up, I'm looking into that now. My hope is that I won't need to use this program but it's nice to have in case something does happen.
 
Might want to check out Lookout Mobile Security , it backsup your data, not to mention it also Finds a missing phone and it serves as a virus scanner as well :)
 
Hi I'm new to this forum. I've been reading all different threads about viruses and different things to prevent them, but now I need help to find out how to erase the viruses. Any help is greatly appreciated, so frustrated.:confused:

I just used this last night, at 11 o clock I';m sat here setting up... I put my grandparents mobile number on and I didn't realise it would send them a text, oh woops!

Great news! Yeah I was surprised when I saw the $0.20 charge on my last Verizon bill when I tested the program a month ago. Will have to try it again soon. Thanks for making the improvement.
 
Great app guys. I love the smooth user interface. I have 2 questions:

1. Will we be able to use more secure passwords than 6 digits?
2. Track location does not work for me. When I use the website, I receive a message of random gibberish. I see the GPS icon going off on the phone. Then nothing happens. It still just shows that I never located my phone on the website. Any known issues?
 
I like Lookout...it does the same thing as wavesecure...it has a little better reviews...it also can locate your phone if you lose it...
