Well, I'm half asleep, but a quick read-through of the articles sounds good to me. I like the idea of Android's Linux kernel being inline with mainstream Linux's kernel. I guess we'll see how it plays out.
And with things like Purism's Librem5 phone (https://puri.sm/products/librem-5/) and Ubuntu Touch (https://ubuntu-touch.io/) which runs with varying results on a limited number of phones (There's a list on the website). and various rumours about a 'Pure Linux Phone' the sooner Android runs on a 'standard vanilla' Linux kernel the better.
