a proxy setting

Newbie
i receive an message from ISP, saying customers can remove/delete the proxy of their cellphone, and gain an higher speed experience from wireless service. is it true?

Q:should i do so? what is advantage and disadvantage from doing this setting.

Your isp provides your cell phone?

It depends on your mobile phone carrier whetherproxy settings are required or not.

I have to apn (access point names) on my phone. One for web and one for mms. Only the mms uses a proxy. However some phones only have one apn for both. There is one option for proxy and one for mms proxy. Why not look what you have?

U fully clarified my Q, but didn't give such "stupid" sentence? I did said the setting of proxy in cell phone, APN. both WEB and MmS.

so should remove the proxy from web in APN?

Remove the proxy, speed will increase.

The only thing that you may lose is access to some carrier service. That is rare but it happens. If it becomes a problem, restore the proxy setting.

I can't understand the meaning of the "stupid" remark, but it doesn't sound friendly. Please be friendly.
