A question about Google Music and mobile data usage

after the announcement of google music this afternoon i've been uploading my music to my google music account. I am currently on Sprints network and enjoying unlimited data, however I plan to switch to Verizon and hop on their 4gb for the price of 2gb plan. Once all my music is uploaded to my google music account I can access it on their cloud based service on my cell phone anytime (i know you already know this) but im wondering when I access and stream my music from my google music account am I using my data plan? I am assuming the answer is yes, but thought I should make sure. Any way to get around this other then using WiFi or transferring the songs directly onto my phone?

Yeah that would be data.. I can't imagine it could be anything else. Even Google voice is really using data... someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Funny because I am also on sprint and planning on switching to verizon but the only thing holding me back is the data cap.

Google Voice (by itself) does not use data for voice calls. It uses your minutes. The Google Voice app does use data for text messages though.

hmmm....really a cool feature of google music and any other cloud based media app, i wonder how much data it would really consume, when deciding to switch to verizon from sprint i looked at my previous 5 monthly statements and realized i was only using on average .5 gbs of data a month, so 2gbs seemed plenty to me, then verizon announced twice the data for the same price so it was a no brainer, im wondering how many hours of streaming approx. be 1gb of data out of curiosity....
