A question about the Sports Tap App, regarding refreshing/battery power

I just downloaded the Sports Tap and I personally think it is the bets sports app/widget on the market. I love it.

However I am worried about its battery draining probability. Anyone else who has this app, what is your update frequency? And what exactly does that control? Just the updates of scores on the widget? I love up to date sports scores, but I don't want it draining my battery, so I assume having the widget update every 1 minute is bad?

I am curious about other Sports Tap users' opinions, so please add to how you have yours configured to get maximum performance.

mine updates every minute (a little excessive I guess), and it seems to do just fine on battery life. Every half hour is probably more than sufficient, since you'll probably be refreshing manually if you want to keep up to date on a specific game

I use Sportstap a bunch, but after I use it I kill all my processes. I noticed that when you fire up Sportstap it starts like 7-10 child processes which I assume eat battery life. I love the app, but I agree that it's a little harsh on your battery and what it relies on.

Ehh....It is way behind simply going to Espn.com - if you are a fanatic about a team and it is a sport with lots going on ie - Basketball - it is too darn slow.
Also - eats battery....
