A settings/profile switching app - NOT Locale

I'm looking for an app that will allow me to set up different profiles for phone settings that can be switched easily by choosing a "profile" from a list.

I DON'T want Locale. i want to be able to do this by choosing from a list, NOT based on my location.

For example, a user could set up a Power Saver profile, a Power User profile, an Online Profile, etc. Each of these profiles should be customizable. For example, I should be able to customize the "Power Saver" profile to the power settings I want (ie. Screen brightness, WiFi off, Bluetooth Off, Syncing Off, etc).

Is there anything like this? Ideally I'm hoping for something that has a free version, as I am in Canada and we can't get paid apps yet.

For the record, I am using Useful Switchers, but I don't want to have to go through all the various steps each time I want to go back and forth from power saving and using my phone online.

Although you say "not Locale", do you realize that you can simply choose a situation in Locale without needing a condition?

I want to be able to switch between profiles without having to be online or use GPS. I was under the impression Locale only switched profiles based on your location, which would require it to be location aware.

I just want to be able to create customized profiles, and select them from a list.

Monkeyk is correct in that you don't have to use location as a trigger in locale, and can indeed save different power profiles without specifying a trigger at all, which you can activate by selecting them from the menu.

In addition, with locale, if so desired, you can setup automatic triggers for your different power profiles (ie, you can set it to turn off wifi, etc when your battery reaches a certain level, or even use being plugged in as a trigger).

So, I installed Locale, unfortunately it doesn't really do enough. As far as creating "power saver" vs "power user" profiles, the only settings that can be changed are WiFi on/off, Bluetooth on/off, and the display brightness.

To make a true Power Saver profile, I'd like to also be able to switch on/off the following with _one_ profile:

- Background Syncing
- GPS
- Wireless Location
- Always-on Mobile
- APNs

Is there a paid version of Locale that does this? I can't get paid apps here in Canada.
