I have a LG V20 on Verizon and I keep getting this weird icon 'h-' on the status bar. I don't know what it means, this isn't the first time this has happened, it happened to me last month.

can you post a screen capture of it? Is it next to the signal bars. "H" used to mean HDSPA.. Without reference as to where it is on the notification bar it's hard to say.

right click on the picture on your desktop and copy it, then paste into the post. 1x is your cellular speed. It is the lowest class of service

1x is Verizons old cell technology. It just means a terribly weak signal and only phone calls will work (and that will be sketchy as well).

"1x" is CDMA basic mode, phone calls may work, and data will be very slow, if at all. Poor signal strength, or you're out in the boonies or something. FWIW I've seen CDMA "1x" mode myself with China Telecom, when I was out on the Inner Mongolian grasslands.
